I do not believe there is any evolutionary theories to suggest that Giraffes are related to Horses. The Okapi which has a likeness to a horse, or actually to a Zebra, and also has the likenesses of a giraffe is the closest you are going to come to the possiblity of lineage relationship, which is not provable.

That is ... of course, IF you believe in the theory of evolution. Personally, I believe the theory of evolution is just that... a THEORY and will never be proved as scientific fact.

To answer your next question: Are you stupid or retarded? I don' t know you. So, I honestly can't answer that. But assessing your question, I just believe you're a bit confused.

No,,they are related more to cows.

That's according to how animals were classified in ancient times according to their FEET.
"Ungulates"

There's EVEN Toed ungulates---which is the CLASSIFICATION relationship between Cows Deer,Goats, and Giraffes.
They all have in common 2 even Toes for hooves

And ODD toed ungulates,,like Horses which have an "odd number" of hooves/toes----ONE hoof

Actually,,Giraffes are their own unique family.
Family:Giraffidae
Only 2 members,,Giraffes and Okapi

At one time they were thought to be related to CAMELS
And their Species is named according to that,,by the Romans.
Species:"Giraffa camelopardalis"

"Camel with Leopard spots"

Now THAT's Retarded,,,LOL:)

It's Zebras that are related to Horses
Family: Equidae
Genus:Equus

Hi. It took guts 2 ask ur question. The sayings r as follows: "No question is a dumb question"; "The only dumb question is an unasked question."
No, u're not dumb. Those who nastily answered u...especially "FilmandBook" who gave u the finger...are dumb. They're not capable of c-ing outside the box. They needed 2 feel better about themselves by putting u down. Guess what? That crap happens at any age. Just pray for tougher skin.
Anyway, I don't know if the two animals in question r related, but I do know that u didn't deserve the nasty answers. Take care.

Giraffes are related to the Bovid family of animals and horses are related to the Equine family of animals. As you can see, they are not related.

I'm sorry eveyone has to be so mean to get their points across, but no giraffes are not related to horses in anyway. Their closest and only relative is the okapi ( http://img.timeinc.net/TFK/media/specials/graphics/011106_mapmania/africa/okapi.jpg ... funny lookin' eh?)

This gives you a little more info if you are interested.
