Shareware is software that you can download and sample for X amount of days and then it will expire and you will either have to purchase it to continue its use or stop using it all together, as opposed to Freeware which is free unlimited use.

Shareware means "try before you buy" so it is a demo. pkunzip is a file compression tool used to compress files. You can get a shareware version of pkunzip, meaning a demo/trial version. Hope this helps.
