FROM THE PROTEST RALLY IN DC TODAY........

At the rally, 12-year-old Moriah Arnold stood on her toes to reach the microphone and tell the crowd: "Now we know our leaders either lied to us or hid the truth. Because of our actions, the rest of the world sees us as a bully and a liar."

The sixth-grader from Harvard, Mass., organized a petition drive at her school against the war that has killed more than 3,000 U.S. service-members, including seven whose deaths were reported Saturday.

I'm glad to know somebody else thinks the war is wrong.

No not necessarily, I have one liberal parent and one conservative parent. My dad, the liberal, loves to discuss politics and we very often have discussions about it.
I would also love to have a petition signed to end the war in Iraq, but I know that it would not do any good.

Also by the way I am only 13 and would take the same action that she did.

No. I think a child at that age has the ability to know what is going on and decide for herself what is the truth and what isn't. Thankfully she is a smart one and knows what is going on pretty well

What makes you think she or her parents are "liberals"? Realizing that "our leaders either lied to us or hid the truth" doesn't make someone a liberal. Realizing that "the rest of the world sees us as a bully and a liar" doesn't make someone liberal either. The truth isn't liberal or conservative. IT'S THE TRUTH!

She is most likely influenced by her parents' views, but they are right as well. The war needs to end.

When we have 6th graders complaining about the government, something is seriously wrong with the government or the people+
