I stayed at the Royale Solaris Caribe in Cancun several years ago. Not sure if that is the same place or not. It was OK. Not super great, but not horrible either. It was an all inclusive place on the less exiciting end of Cancun.

I stayed at The Flamingo... great beach and nice hotel
also at Moon Palace.. terrible beach, insects and geckos all over the rooms, not as great as they advertise
so, watch out for star ratings... I'll stay at the Flamingo again
