It's weird that the owner hasn't called his own number yet...
Although you could always call one of the numbers on memory and ask them "hi, I found a cell phone, can you please tell me who's number is 555-...." They'll tell you it's their friend, brother or whatever, and then you can make arrangements to give the phone back...

Of course you should return the phone. First of all you knew the right thing to do or you would not have asked the question, right?
Now if you do not know who it belongs to call the numbers in the address book and you can eventually find the owner.

I just lost my cell phone yesterday. There is more than just cool stuff in it, that is someone's life. All my friends and family for the past 3 years. I now have noones number, I have no alarm to wake me up. And I have countless reminders that are gone. Birthday's, doctors appts, workout reminders, etc. Please give that person their life back.

Return it as there may be a reward for it! If you were locked into a contract with a phone bill coming every month and all of a sudden you don't have the phone anymore but the bill keeps coming wouldn't you want them to return it to you.

you do what you want but I would call someone in the phone list inside the phone and find the owner. That's just me, I believe "what goes around, comes around".

My son lost his phone, and the person who found it was kind enough to call us (we were listed as 'Dad'). We ended up sending a reward. They might not send you a reward, but think of the bad karma if you don't.

Check the number and then go at the sim card to see the provider. Contact the provider.

if its active then look in the contacts and call one of the numbers. i doubt its even in service or the owner would be calling the cell phone wanting to know where it is. they are recylcable and tax deductible ya know.
