Oh, my god please tell me your feeding it more than cucumbers. Go to this websites I'm so pissed off at ignorant people Like you I can't even talk. Could you live on only one thing no neither can they.

I've calmed down some and I'm sorry, I just want you to know that Iguanas have a very specific diets and the need this specific diet or they will not be healthy please research and do not feed it bugs or meat. I just get angry at people sometimes because I've seen to many reptiles whose owners don't take care of them properly and their sick and dying while their owners think it's healthy. Please research and I hope you and your Iguana can live healthy lives together. Peace.

Cucumber probably doesn't have quite the nutrients the ig needs as they don't eat a terribly lot and need to get their vitamins from what little they do eat.

They love collard greens, yams and sweet potatoes, they also make iguana pellets.

In the winter, when it is colder, iguanas only eat a few times a week, some eat everyday though. But they like sitting under the uv light you set up for them quite a lot. And they just...well...sit more.

Iguanas should always eat everyday to every other day. I'd check the temperature inside it's enclosure. Also, make sure it has UVB lighting. Here's info on temperature & diet:

My iguana ate every day of the year. I never fed it cucumbers because the pet store told me to feed it nutrient veges.
I fed her carrots, spinach, eggplant, zuccini, yellow squash, apple & bananas. I'm sure there were a couple others that I can't think of.
I always put a couple of things in for her & she would pick which things she wanted. That might be what's going on with yours. He may be wanting a more nutrient rich diet.

iguanas do eat everyday and they eat all sorts of veggies and fruits. you should feed him everyday so he can get all his vits and minerals that he needs. add his vits to his foods when you feed him. he should have fresh food and water everyday no matter what. during the winter they do slow down some but not much because the cooler weather slows their metabalizam down just abit. i have 4 of them and every winter they do the same thing and don't eat much but i keep it in there for them no matter what.
all of mine are about 4-5 feet long and they weigh about 5-7lbs each and that is big for them. well good luck

They like Dark Green leafy vegetables.
Like collard greens, and spinach.
They also like a little bit of grated carrot, apple, and tiny bit of orange.

Be sure your Iguana is warm enough.
It's not unusal for them to skip a day.

Check with your local pet store.
I gave mine Iguana live food, and it just made him mean!!

It appears like you go with a cat, no longer a reptile. i am going to manage each and every of your factors. - As for vacationing, see you later as you could lug round all of its kit and would positioned it in a threat-free vacationing tank, it will be ok. i'd not propose it in many cases regardless of the actuality that. no longer many reptiles can adapt to a replace in surroundings. A reptile has criteria for temperature and humidity, etc. it ought to't adapt, you should grant it with those criteria. - Do you've get entry to to warmth lamps and fewer than tank warmers? then you genuinely will be ok. only verify you save the tank's surroundings sturdy. - I doubt you're going to locate a reptile that desires to take a lengthy walk on a leash with you. They make leashes for reptiles yet i imagine they're in many cases for novelty. it ought to take a lengthy time period to even get the component down the block. they received't have a good time with a lengthy walk and also you should't leash practice them. you're considering a canine. - Who cares if it would not recognize different individuals? tell them to stay out of the tank once you're uncertain. - No reptile will depart out you once you're lengthy gone. They only tolerate us. it is specifically extremely us that go with to be with them. that is ridiculous. - do not get a huge reptile. video demonstrate gadgets, Tegus and Iguana's can all do harm because of their length. Any reptile can attempt to bite or tail-whip you if it extremely needs to. many times speaking regardless of the actuality that, the smaller ones do not difficulty. i do not imagine you should possess a reptile because you've fake expectancies of the way it is going to behave and artwork jointly with you. in case you do get one, get a bearded dragon or a leopard gecko. They do properly in captivity and could manage a keepers blunders better than maximum. although, I propose that you get a cat.

I don't know allot about iguanas, but I do know that the cold will kill them. In fact in Florida its ( the cold as in freezing) is used to euthanize them. they are very temp. sensitive and it may be that he/she is too cold. I know that they will eat just about a vegetable
