I'm running windows XP and everytime turn my computer on it just falls into a loop and continues to reboot. Even my McAfee rescue disk will not work. I can only get in the set-up mode, but not safe more. As soon as the Windows XP screen shows, it flashes a blue error screen (too fast to read) and then reboots. Any help out there?

Hi, this issue that you describe is definitely not a virus. It is an issue with either faulty hardware on your pc or possibly software, as in drivers. There are a couple of options here but one of them is to boot into DOS and do a system restore to a previous date before this issue happened. Next, you could get your XP disk and do a system repair of your XP installation. These are all kind of tricky but you can go to this free pc support site and they will instruct you on how to fix this issue. I have included the source here.

It sounds like you have the "happy new year" virus. It's a Worm virus, you can use Trend Micro to find it, but it won't clean it. I had to reformat a hard drive to get rid of it, the computer I was working on had 499 worms, and 10 trojans. And, it was doing the EXACT same thing yours was.

try taking out the RAM and putting it back in. this could cause a system failure therefore causing a rebootjust take it out, blow out the slot for it to make sure there is no dust or anything in it then put the RAM back in but be careful not to touch the gold. the oils will ruin the RAM and then you will have to get a replacement
