Do you get the headaches when you are switching from wearing contacts to glasses or vice versa? If it is, then your eyes are just adjusting to the distance between your eye and the lens. That isn't anything to worry about.
Also, it could just be that your glasses are dirty, that causes extra eye strain.
Too much computer work, reading or watching tv causes a lot of eye strain, that can make you susceptible to headaches.
If you don't think it is any of those things, or you have already tried to reduce the amount that you are doing those things, book an appointment with your optometrist because your perscription could be incorrect and that can worsen your eye sight slightly.

usually if I put my left contact into my right eye it'll be the wrong perscription so I'll get a headache. If that's happening with your glasses, the wrong lenses might have been put in your frame. Take them in to your optometrist and have them checked. You should get your money back and new glasses.

Yes, it is very normal. I myself, used to wear glasses and now wear contacts. At first they were uncomfortable and gave me headaches. It may just take awhile for you to adjust to them. Give it some time, and if the headaches do not go away, see your eye doctor. =]
Hope that helped, and good luck!

It could be the prescription, but I would also consider it possibly being tension headaches. I wear glasses and my head hurts behind my eyes from tension, I rub the emples and take tension headache from tylenol. In a few minutes I am ok.

it could be your perscription, but my mom had horrible headaches with contacts so she just uses glasses. If you hav headaches with both then you might want to see your eye doctor.

I always get headaches when I wear glasses. I've never really gotten them when wearing contacts though, maybe only once or twice in the 5 years I've been wearing them.

I wear both... I find that when I wear soft contact lenses I get pressue behind my eyes after a few hours.
Hard contact lenses are more work but they are better for your eyes cuz they let you eyes breathe better.
