unless the doctor shows signs of being concerned i wouldn't worry. just go with the flow and try not to read too much into small things. the doctor will mention if anything looks abnormal.

I am currently 22.3 weeks pregnant and my first ultrasound the babies heartrate was 174 and the tech and the doctor said that was a good strong heartbeat at 10 weeks pregnant. With just the doppler at my appointments since the babies heartrate has been 164, 155, and at my 20 week ultrasound the babies heartrate was 146. I was concerned that is had dropped so low since the first time I heard it and my doctor told me that the heartrate regulates and drops the farther into the pregnancy to stay between the ranges of 120-160.

Who said it gets higher as pregnancy progresses? That's totally wrong. I can't even find a single article online that supports that theory at all. My son's heart beat has been all over the place this pregnancy, 138 at one apointment, 144 at another, he even went up to 153 while i was having a NST in the hospital when he heard my mother in law's voice LOL too cute. Anything between 120 and 160 is concidered normal. I'd be more concerned that your baby has a resting heart rate of 164 then it not getting higher as you progress. However, if your doc isn't concerned neither should you be. No need to borrow trouble.

I wouldn't be....although according to the wive's tale you have a girl.
A baby's heart rate changes all the time....you just got the same number twice...if you'd waited a bit it would have changed
A baby's heart rate ALWAYS goes up when they move....
By the way, the heart rate does not go up, it goes down as the pregnancy progresses....but those changes don't occur until the last trimester.
I have to have my baby's heart checked twice a week, in the course of an hour it is 115, 157, 137, 172, 125.......depends on where she is (if she moves off the sensor) what I've eaten, or if she is active.
It sounds like you are fine!

It's probably not changing cuz i's leveling out. Could be any number of things...even the foods you ate before you went for the 'sound. Your obgyn should be able to tell you...ASK!! Alwasy ask if you have questions during pregnancy!! :)
Good luck!

If the Dr's not concerned, you should remain reassured.
