i forgot my logon on my dlink router?

i forgot my logon and password for my dlink524 router, im trying to add another computer what should i do.....

You should not have to access your router to add a computer, unless you have MAC filtering enabled I guess.

You will have to set your router back to its defaults, that means you will have set it up from scratch again, to reset the username and password.

On the back of the router there is a small pin hole, the reset button.

Hold it in for 5 seconds and then pull the power on the router. Continue to hold in the reset button and count to 10 and then plug the power back in. Let go of the reset button and the router will boot back to its origional default settings.

Now go in and set it up again.

there must be a reset button hidden somewhere on the router.

Once you have pressed it the password should be reset.

Then search for the default password using google and connect to your router.

The next thing you'll need to do is reconfigure everything on the router since the reset must have reset everything to factory default.
