Floor-length satin makes me want to throw up. Im not saying that every dress someone wears to prom is gross but if it is is satin in the "prom" dress section of a department store, or bought at a bridal shop, or something like a jessica mcklintoc or whatever...its typically gonna be nasty...

Do you mean those dresses they sell in expensive shops at the mall? The ones that are flowing and long? With a v-neck or something? They are so pretty on specific people. It depends on their shape.

A "prom dress" does not necessarily mean long and pink with lace. That was ages ago...
Now, prom dresses are beautiful and there are tons of styles to choose from.
