Maybe they assume you're driving while listening and don't want you to crash. That would make sense. lol

I have never heard anyone say that, on the contrary I hear people say you should read the lyrics to the song so you will know what they are talking about.

I find myself singing a song, then when I see the lyrics I am baffled because I had been saying the wrong thing.

i do not imagine it is a foul concept. I were speaking English for fifty years and that i have continually had a difficulty information the words in some song, so it is sweet in case you could examine the words when you're listening, and verify out to verify the words you examine to the sounds you listen.

hummm... i've never heard that but I have to read the kyrics for some bands b/c you just can't tell what they're saying and even though I don't sing in public most times if I did I wouldn't want to look like a jack@$$ saying the wrong words ;o)

well i'm not really sure who says that. but my guess would be so that you can focus on the musical part of the song without getting distracted by the words.

i never heard that
but maybe cos then youd lose the appreciation for the melody
but i think its just as important to enjoy the melody, as it is to understand the message the dong conveys
