I have stored these cartridges for a Tektronix printer I got rid of over a year ago. I don't want to go through the hassle of selling them if they expire or go bad in some way.

I have searched all over the box, even opened it, but I cannot find an expiration date.

Typically, how long is the toner good for?

Toner has an expiration date. Check the package carefully, it should list the date somewhere. If it's not listed, you need to contact the manufacturer to find out. Some companies don't put the expiration date on the toner.

I have a home business also. I have tried the refill method and it is nothing but a hassle. I have bought refilled ink cartridges and they are worthless. I buy all my ink products on Ebay - and get excellent prices on brand name inks. You can save a lot of money. My color ink cartridge costs over $40 at a store and I bought two on Ebay for $14.00 and $5 shipping.

Yes it has a shelf life. There should be an expiration date on the package.
