well, i look at it from two points of views.....

if your a christian or a muslim or a jew, then you know that this world will not get any better than what it currently is. it will only get worse from here on out. not to be negative or anything, because a person can still go out and have fun, and not let things like that bother them, but they should always be aware of this happening and the powers that be that control the future of not only this nation, but all nations.

if you dont follow a particular religion that believes in prophecy, then you at least know that tensions between the different nations are almost always high. anything can happen at any given time.

some of the problems and issues occurring today will be solved i believe. but some wont. and then again, the ones that WILL be solved will probably escalate into other, possibly even bigger problems that what we have now. all in all, i think we should all do our part by getting involved and letting the ones in power know that WE all have a say in the matter as well. jesus once said that a people working as one can accomplish anything, so maybe if we all do our part, things will change for the good. no one knows for sure.

Horrible just horrible.war, famine caused by global warming.other country's going into rebellion, .the feds will have themselves a totalitarian government in the near future.war after another disaster . will cause Marshall law, wars will take so many young life's.the population will double then triple.,our rights or getting whittled down more and more all the time.free speech yes.they will allow that to a point, but then people will begin to disappear.the people who appose the feds and the people who control them will kill to make a point to the others,so they will cooperate.fully.NO. problems will increase of course, look around you,the wildlife of the earth is what I fear for,we will kill of most species,by the time were done.no hope. sorry, the oceans or getting full of pollutants, mercury pollution so bad now we shouldnt eat most fish, people dieing from cancer from carcenagens in the invironment. if you get a snowball and get on a high hill and let it do.do you have to watch it go down the hill to know it will roll.?things are in motion, it will continue to get worst, people or sheeple people in America.who follow blindly. the propaganda. the Jews will get even more power over the U.S.,war is what they want, to control the middle eastern country's,or to just set them straight .we the people or just sheep, no its terrible the future, unless we take a stand which they know we want take, and if we do, they have soldiers to kill us if we go to marching in the streets. in mass numbers when the time comes when we will actually do that..if we do that.May God Bless these States of America, the South should leave the Union again before its to late.Black and white .as most real Southerners know what true freedon is.and its NOT being controled by the feds, we should demand States rights right now.and Do pray for Peace.

Our country is definitely faced with an increasing number of challenges. In my opinion, they include globalization and it's impacts on our middle class, rampant institutional corruption, consumerism, disregard for our environment and finite natural resources, climate change, our debt (consumer & national), and the decline of our public education system.

I am, however, encouraged by technological advancements and forums like this which foster civic participation and learning. I hope future generations will be able to develop innovations that help solve the world's problems. We need improvements in battery technologies to reduce fossil fuel consumption, continued development of space-faring technologies, etc. Of course, you solve today's and new unforeseen problems will emerge.

Unfortunately, I see things getting worse before they get better. I am, however, optimistic about the future of the US and all of humanity. Let's not go the way of the dinosaur. Let's get our collective act together and start making the world a better place.

The World will have more problems in the upcoming years. It's all spelled out in a great book called the Holy Bible. A good read!

They have to figure out how to get out of Iraq as painlessly as possible. However they get out there will be bad effects, but its got to be done. The debt to China needs to be paid down. The population is getting older so the country needs national health care but all the money that could have paid for it has been squandered on tax cuts for billionaires and the war. So I see the US as going down. The people will get poorer and live worse, they won't be able to afford medicine or medical treatment, they will die younger, their families will go poor trying to keep their parents alive, kids will be uneducated because people don't like to pay taxes, the country will not be able to compete in the international economy, the military will continue to be a big drain on the economy. Hopefully they will just sign a piece of paper like the Soviet Union did and just end it peacefully. It was a nice try but this generation totally dropped the ball in voting for bush.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think the writing is on the wall, with the deficit as high as it is,the threat of terrorism, companies loosing billions, the war,the widening rift between rich and poor and the sort of people that are voted into office to mention a few of the problems we face. All I can do is keep going and hope to God that I'm wrong.
