I wanted to make a clone of my laptop's hard drive on my portable Maxtor OneTouch Mini III 100 gig hard drive so I used this program called CloneDisk to do it. I already had 10 gigs of music on the portable hd but I didn't think my songs would deleted if I did the cloning, but unfortunately they were. Is there a way I can do some kind of unformat or restore on the portable HD to get it back to how it was before I did all that? Thanks

Youre probably SOL considering the files were probably overwritten. There wasnt much point in cloning your drive in the first place if your portable is a usb device because the bios wouldnt see it during boot anyway.

Check with the program producer. Cloning shouldn't have deleted the original. If that doesn't help, next time back stuff up.

Trying doing a RESTORE, not recovery. on the HD. So maybe you can go back before the HD screwed up.
