Last night I went out with work colleagues and met the boyfriend of one of my colleagues. As I walked into the bar he already knew my name as he introduced himself.
Towards the end of the night, he spoke to me, saying:I'm his idol, he admires me a lot and that he hopes that his girlfriend won't dump him to be with me!!!
What could she have possibly told her boyfriend about me for him to say those things to me???
Could she secretly fancy me???
This was the 1st time i met him....

She must've said something about you which struck a chord - have you done something he's always wanted to do (climbed Everest, started your own business, learnt the tango...)? Or perhaps you behave in a way he admires - your management style, or have you stuck up for someone, her for example? Didn't he explain why you're this amazing person? If not, perhaps he was just winding you up.
I doubt it's that she fancies you; if she really does, he's the one person she wouldn't have told, anyway it's not her who's doing the gushing, is it?
Only you can use your intuition about this - did he seem starstruck? Creepy? Taking the mick? Obviously he knew your name because she - or another of your colleagues - had talked about you and then when you walked in, said 'There's so-and-so".
Why don't you casually say to her at work 'Your boyfriend seemed nice, he was very friendly to me, what did you tell him about me?' and see if you can find out what she'd said.

you are right and what an odd statement, Is it possible he is trying one on you. You should not be the main topic of conversation between a co-worker and her boyfriend, It is also possible that he is very insecure and takes simple conversation out of context. Weird is right

maybe she is a bi-sexual! bit of a way out thing to say on your first meet, strange one that, i'd keep your distance to be on the safe side....he could also be a bit strange...nowt queerer than folk!

he is probably really insecure and possibly testing your reaction to his girlfriend to see if he has anything to worry about.
