One by Metallica.
It is the greatest heavy metal song ever. it has every element, mellow, heavy intense, great lyrics, awesome arrangement and one of the most memorable drum at the end.
La Mer by Nine Inch Nails
It is very atmospheric and the perfect soundtrack to sailing down the Mississippi river at night.
Lullaby by The Cure
Listen to the lyrics, it is the scariest song ever written and once again very atmospheric.
"The spider man is having you for diner tonight"

Wow, for a music lover like me, there is no choosing favorites. About every Chevelle song is my favorite. I don't have favorite songs-I have favorite artists. Here is one song, though, that gets me every time:
Forever and a Day by Silverstein-For months now i've been living with almost no emotion. By that I mean I can't cry. Never sad since 8th grade. Now I'm a sophomore and I just can't get sad. Even when my friend told me she was graduating early and going to Mexico or something all of my friends were like, "NO! Don't go!" But I just gave her that careless, "ok." When I heard this song, more like when I heard the end of the song, I thought my emotion was getting back to me. At the end, while the band is rockin' an amazing tune, the singer recites "Where the Sidewalk Ends," by Shel Silverstein. I felt a bit of emotion that night that I heard the song.
Anyway, my fave three artists are:
Chevelle-amazing!!! No favorite band of mine can top them!
Silverstein-i love their music!
30 Seconds to Mars-unique!
So many more!

--A Walk Through Hell by Say Anything
Simple lyrics, simply amazing. I don't know how to describe it unless you download it yourself and listen to it and get sucked into that which is A Walk Through Hell.
--The General by Dispatch
A war story, what else is there to say?
--This City Kills by Janove Ottesen
It might be a little depressing, but the simple melody with Janove's voice over the guitar is fantastic.
