So I had unprotected sex on Friday(yesterday 1/26). Stupid me I know. But I got a hold of Plan B this morning(1/27). I took the first pill but what will happen if I dont take the second pill?

The main concern is folic acid and iron. The pills are added assurance that you will meet these needs. Folic acid helps prevent neural tube defects and iron helps you from becoming anemic during your pregnancy. It is really hard to get all of the folic acid you need from just foods. Folic acid is found in cereals, breads, fruits & veggies. Iron is found mostly in meats but also in beans, tofu, raisins and green leafy vegetables. If your prenatals seem to be too strong, you can try to take them in the evening right before bed or try taking them after you have a little on your stomach. You can also cut the pill in half and take half in the morning and the other half in the evening. If this does not work you can take a children's multivitaim like Flintstones (just make sure it has folic acid and iron) until you are able to tolerate the prenatals. Good Luck to you!!!!

Why would you only take one if you have both the pills? There are 2 pills for a reason.

it won't work effectively. it's like taking half a pack of BC pills and not finishing it up. you must take both pills between 8 to 12 hours between each other. if you want to start over...go talk to the pharmacy where you got it. or give them a call. they can tell you.
i personally wouldn't understand why you wouldn't take both. you bought it. use it. otherwise it was just a waste.

You lower your risk of dying? Plan B is NOT as safe you may think. You could end up with a severly injured baby due to taking the first pill.

take it...take it...take it.... if you don't and there were a baby, it could have birth defects, and you'd probably feel pretty awful.
