Hmm Avatar: The Last Airbender (close enough to an anime) anyway it's a really great show, and the animation *dies*
Perhaphs Naruto (though it's not as mild as Avatar)
Prince of Tennis you can watch it on toonami Jet stream. It's the only place you can watch it in english.

A good one would be Bone, even though it was made in america. It is about a fantasy land in medieval times, it is really good. If you are allowed to read minor cuss words such as "damn or bastard", I would reccomend Fullmetal Alchemist. It can be bloody at some times though. One Piece can be bloody at times, but it doesn't cuss. Hikaru no Go has absolutely nothing bad in it, but then again, it has nothing exciting about it.
Those would probably be a good list of mangas to read.
Animes, or Tv shows
The best would be Naruto, The american version shows absolutely no cussing or anything, and minimum blood. There are suggestive Themes, Naruto is a ninja that has a jutsu called "Sexy Jutsu" he turns into a naked lady, however he is covered in clouds and you can only see his face.

SHUT UP ABOUT AVATAR!!! He's talking about a TEN YEAR-OLD BOY!!!!!! sorry I had to say that.
Anyways, even though Avatar isn't technically anime I would still recommend it (cause it's a kids show) But I would also recommend Naruto, DBZ/Dragonball (is it still even on?), and One Piece (I don't like it, but my 9 yr old bro thinks it's funny)

Avatar is not an anime. Animes are made by Japanese.
But I suggest Hunter X Hunter. sounds new huh?
i was so amazed by this... it has a great action than any other anime has. and they're not in medieval times, like ninjas. it's in modern time

dude. everyone out there knows that AVATAR is NOT anime. its drawn by a white dude and looks NOTHING like anime. not to be hating or anything. i give my apologies. 8(
i reccomend the 'oh so famous' dragonball z. when i was little, dragonball and sailor moon were my very first animes. 8) hope that helped.

Well if you do not mind him watching a cartoon that has fighting in it he could watch Naruto. That cartoon is an action cartoon about the life a nijas and stuff. Its pretty good my little cousins watch it.
