it depends on your perception of life I guess.
I would say our greatest asset is also our greatest flaw.
Love
Love gives us the feeling of total euphoria. But it can also make us blind. With love we feel like we can do anything, without it we feel like we are nothing. It is the root of hatred. It is the root of all things good. Even with hatred there is still a hope of love.

Our greatest flaw is this... The money system.. Our biggest hoax in which we created besides our government is money and the need for it. Everyone fears it but everyone loves it. But let's say if we dropped the system and the need for money and based "value" on the deeds we accomplish. Knowledge for instance they say is power. It is. Those with the know how and the means to accomplish it and the will to do it will succeed. The value of that is high, if it helps others.. We live in a society in which everyone is thinking about themselves. Our lives are based on how to get the most money and what people don't truly understand is that how we treat people is what holds us back from getting so much more out of life. Replace the system where money is needed and replace it with the services a person could provide to help others and I believe that our lives and the value of it would greatly excel. Only problem is those with the money will crush the idea because of fear of loss.

Good answers!
Several things qualify:
Greed, lack of understanding,
lack of compassion
but most likely I would have to go with intelligence and to much capacity for differences. There are too many different opinions and viewpoints that makes living with others incompatable that people must start wars and stuff.
Intelligence - Because we are too smart for our own good that we have technology to destroy ourselves now and because of all of our other flaws, we probably will.
Humanity has just grown too far out of proportion, like a huge disease that it's getting increasingly more and more difficult to control. The only way now is down.

DEFINETLY greed. People only do things for money, and nothnig good comes from it except maybe the rich people get nice iPods and the poor people are still left with nothing. No homes, no food, and that is all becasue of Human greed.

The design of our backs. Almost everyone has back problems as they age. Or you might mean something like the fact people don't like living in the real world and like to create fantasies and beliefs to live by

No respect for our fellow man, meaning that Americans have become self centered around his/her needs rather as to how they can share in the needs of others.

Religion. It has killed millions and will continue to do so.
The religious hatred and intolerance of non-believers expressed on this site is incredible.
