I have lived in Germany as a American soldier and now as a civilian for around 22 years. I lived in and around Mannheim for 11 years. Lots of stuff to do and pretty much in the middle.

Now live near Nurnberg in Bavaria. Friendlier people, better food and beer. Country side is prettier and making trips into Czech.

A wonderful country to visit, just wish the weather included more blue skies and sunshine. But Italy and Spain are not all that far.

My husband and I visited Wurzburg, Nuremburg, and caught a cruise up the Rhine in Boppard. We loved Germany. It is a very pretty country. We were there during the Christmas season, and I very much enjoyed the Christmas markets.

Kassel. 64-65. Liked it. Bier was very good. Country beautiful. People friendly and a lot of them spoke English which was good for me because I couldn't speak German. Long time ago. I'm sure it's probably the same today.

I lived in RP in the town of Frankenstein (near Hochspeyer) for four years. I loved it. Would go back in a heartbeat.
I also was a military history tourguide, part time. Great job.
