Screamo and death metal should not be clumped together. Screamo is really bad. Death metal is really difficult to play and usually pretty technical. I don't like either one, but the guys that play death metal are really talented. The best acoustic songs I've ever heard have come from death metal bands.

I like it because it is powerful music. Forget the lyrics and feel the guitar and double bass attack. It emboldens me I guess. It's definitely more for guys, but I know normal women who love it, too.
I firmly believe that death metal guitarists are some of the most talented musicians of our time. If you ever get the chance to see a death metal guitarist in a video you should watch the finger acrobatics on display. They're absolutely amazing.

because your mood helps decide what kind of music u listen to. if they are mad about something, then those people would listen to that type of music or any loud and hateful songs

the guitar bass and drums pump u up fill u with adrenaline not the vocals but some have so strong lyrics

because its not happy. sometimes people don't feel constantly happy.
maybe its because not everyone likes it and they feel they need to connect themselves with something different.
i like to just thrash around and act crazy. and you cant do that with Brittany spears.

They are sad, angry and lonely and they haven't discovered Rock and Roll. Also because their friends pretend to like it, and noone wants to be the outsider.
