I've heard, but have no personal experience on the matter, that twins tend to deliver at 38 weeks. No way to know for yours though until they decide it's time.

Congratulations on your growign family!

Most twin moms deliver around 37-38 weeks. That is not considered early but is actually considered full term for twins. I delivered at 37 weeks 3 days. I don't know any twin moms who delivered past 38 weeks, and I cannot imagine who would even want to go that long! The last few weeks were unbearable! :)

Twins do tend to go early on their own, yes, but also a lot of doctors will induce mothers of twins around 37 to 38 weeks. You still stand the chance of going the full 40 weeks. I know someone who actually went a few days over her due date with twin girls. One was 7 lb, the other was 8 lbs!!
Good luck!

I have never personally heard of twins going to 40 weeks. You should feel blessed that you have carried them this long. I think they consider 36-38 weeks full term for twins. Good luck I am sure you will be meeting your little ones soon!

No way to tell. My mom carried my twin sisters 1 day past her due date!! Be very thankful that you're at 36 1/2 weeks, that's GREAT! So many twins come way too soon but your babies should be very healthy at birth!

my wife and I have twin daughters and they were born at 37wks and were slightly smaller than an average baby but this is common with twins.Generally twins are born before the due date but if your babies are happy in there and are doing well then I wouldnt worry, am sure it wont be long til your holding your 2 bundles of joy. good luck

It is different for each set. I have twin sisters and they were born one week late. (They are 9 years younger.) I watched my mom, and let me tell you, you will be happy no matter when they come. Also I was born 5weeks early so everyone, twins or not, is different.

Normally twins come early, but the longer you can carry them the better! Congrats!!

It is most likely to happen earlier, as I can imagine it being extremely hard for your body to carry two completely full-term babies. Then again, my mum carried my twin brother and sister to fourty weeks.
