I have software sitting in a mini-disk format that I need in order to get my mp3/mp4 player to load music and function. When I put it into the computer drive, nothing happens. A librarian said I needed an adapter. Where do I get one?

If the computer doesn't recognize the disk as being thehre, how can using the other method be any better at making the thing work? I tried the start/run thing and it asked me to provide the name of the program to run. Help!

Your CD drive's tray should have a smaller ring in it that fits the mini...if that media is supported.

Most do, and if your minidisc sets in the tray fine, then put it in and then open the software that you want to use to access the MP3 files/software on the disk.

Nothing happens because; A: your "autorun" setting is off, or B: the mini doesn't have an autorun file.

*Most gadgets and software that support the minidisc warn against using any type of adapters in your computer, DVD player, etc. for minis.

This site seems good.

Also, if you have a feed slot drive instead of a tray drive, you have to have an adapter to play mini disks.
