I have this project to do and we had to pick themes...my groups theme is back to school for children..elementary age..for my part of the project i have to do something with rythm/drama/dance and i need some ideas. Anything that i can get the class involved with..

well its not a project its a game.. i learned it in drama class... it goes like this........ ok first you choose 2 kids and 1 scene .. the 2 kids act out the scene and then the other kids have a choice to say freeze and when one child says freeze the 2 "actors" freeze where they are standing. Then that one kid that said freeze steps up and taps one of the actors on the shoulder and then has to go into the same stance as the other child was. Then the audience says action and they start a whole other scene. *you can not repeat a scene at all!

There is a thing called METHOD DANCING!
you give each student a scenerio or let them write one and pick it out of a hat.
for example "you lost your date at a party and cant find him,then suddenly you do" and they have to dance and act it out with out speaking. you can put a song to it or have them find a song that goes to it like beyonce " to the left" the theme can be " youve been betrayed and he's gotta go"
thats an idea.
its alot of fun.
