In biology, evolution is the process in which some of a population's inherited traits become more common, at the expense of others, from generation to generation. This is usually measured in terms of the variant genes, known as alleles, that encode the competing traits. As differences in and between populations accumulate over time, speciation, the development of new species from existing ones, can occur. All organisms, including extinct species, are related by common descent through numerous speciation events starting from a single ancestor.

Evolution is a process of accumulation of inheritable changes in populations of living organisms. Evolution occurs permanently, as a response to the environmental change, and works by preferential procreation of organisms with better genetic fitness to the current environment. As a consequence of accumulated changes, independently changed populations give rise to species - groups of closely related organisms that share a relatively stable set of novel and distinct features. All known living organisms on Earth share basic biochemical and genetic traits and most likely had originated from a single common ancestor through evolution.

Evolution is a natural process, through which organisms "evolve" via natural selection. Evolution depends of one key theory of natural selection, or survival of the fittest, where an organism with a natural advantage to survive/breed (due to a random, unchosen genetic mutation) has better chances of competing against others and so cna survive and pass on this advantageous gene to its offspring. Thus through evolution, a specie evolves to gradually become best suited to its habitat.
NOTE: -evolution is a random process that the specie cannot "choose"
-evolution and natural selection refer to genetic mutations only, and these are only passed on
-evolutions is still happening for every specie (and us) today
-evolutionary ideas were thought of by Jean-Baptiste Lamarck, but natural selection and evoluion by Darwin
Hope that helped!
