I am sore for hours after having sex. I am in the end of my second trimester and I am having a perfectly normal and healthy pregnancy. I would like to have sex with my husband but can't enjoy it knowing I am going to be sore for a couple of hours after. Anyone know a reason for the soreness and any suggestions on how to eliminate it?

Yes, it's very normal. Are you.. how can I put this tactfully... dry? You may want to try some KY jelly and see if it helps. I had the same problem while pregnant and my pregnancies went on with no problems, healthy babies. You can try asking your ob why & for suggestions bc I haven't found one that works other than KY

i am 20 weeks and havnt had sex in two weeks because of this. on top of that i have an infection that just wont go away, and all the doctor can tell me is that its my hormones it'll pass. ky definitely helps during sex, but it still hurts after for me. again doc said its my hormones. they also sell and im sure have websites for different positions for pregnant women. i have a couple, and a few have worked better than others. be patient and talk to your doctor

This is normal. I am on my second pregnancy, and with my first I had this problem almost the entire pregnancy. I talked with my doctor and she had mentioned try using some lubricant. It did not help me, but hopefully it will help you. If it burns after having intercourse you do need to speak with you doctor.

I'm at 21 weeks so far and am beginning to have the same problem. I agree with the first person... it is more of a fluid problem and KY does help a bit. Otherwise there is just too much friction.

I was having the same problems, I tried K&Y Jelly and it worked. Your area down there is engorged with more blood volume. Having sex therefore can make a rubbing sensation which will leave you raw.

Yes, its because there is an extreme increase in blood flow down there and it causes you to tighten/swell up. I got very sore during both my pregnancies.

Not only do I get sore after wards but I also get very nauseated. I haven't figured out how to fix it but I wanted you to know you are not alone. Good luck

I wasn't sore but every time I would get close to an orgasm it felt as if the baby would stretch as far as it could from one side of me to the other side.

convinced it is worry-free KY would properly be helpfull as your the lubricant your body produces differences previous to start. also you should sense soreness or painless contraction for the time of sex now or quickly. best of luck
