Parents are always "making" you do things you don't want to do. Sometimes they want to "show-off" their kids to everyone. If your old enough,to stay home alone, then tell your parents in a nice way, that you don't want to go,because you have to: (1) Study for an exam (2) You want to visit your friends (3) You don't think you'll enjoy yourself.
I don't mean for you to lie,but just letting them know that you're not interested, would probably change their mind. (Good Luck)

Let me guess, I should be thankful my parents never went anywhere (ok, fishing was good, and camping ONCE), no movies, dinner out, friends, nothing. They were in their 30s and 40s when I came along. My life felt empty in relation to only going outside to play all the live long day. It's a wonder I didn't end up jail . . . sooner (joke).
I wish my parents had gone out for something once in a while.

The only thing I really remember is that every time one of us kids would have to go to the doctor we all had to go. Very boring.

oh yes that is just the fame of being the parents.. I hated them when I was a kid for doing that stuff, but now that I have my own kids I love to make them go places they don't want to and say because I said so that's why you have to go... It's called life..

Everybody is forced to go somewhere by their parents, when your in the engement just remember that I am also going to be forced to go to church on Sunday, so you are not the only person being forced to go somewhere tomorow.
