yes. if they were both heterozygous for the trait?

It's unlikely, the brown eyed gene is usually dominant. If both parents have the blu eyed gene, then there is a one in four chance that the child will have blue eyes, because for it to have blue eyes it needs to inherit both blue eyed genes, if it inherits even one brown eyed gene it will be brown eyed.

The bulk of the answers stating that blue is recessive is the classically correct answer, though it is not "very slim" as two answers put it, it has a 25% liklihood chance of occuring.

That said, there are now 3 distinct genes known for eyecolor, so it is not as simple as the BbxBb cross that high school genetics would have you believe.

Yes, the blue trait is recessive. So the parents could be heterozygous (phenotype= Bb). So, if you do a punnets square (BbXBb), the children could be 1BB:2Bb:1bb. and 1/4 would appear blue eyed.
While there are other genes affecting eye color (epistatasis), this is the main color.

yes it is verry slim though
bc they are both dominant, Brown and they might be Recessive blue, and if those 2 recessive got together then well you would have blue eyes!
