Yes. You get it from your mother's side of the family, not your father's.

Sorry. Better get the Rogaine now and start using it to keep it as long as you can. Just please.....when it does start to go, don't do the comb-over. Just cut it off and tell women that you don't waste your hormones on growing hair (then wink).

I'm in the same situation (I have curly hair from my dad's side and my mom's side has bald men) and I started going bald last year. Just started using Rogaine, my advice is to do the same once you start noticing baldness. That or shave your head so you aren't the guy doing the comb over. Good luck, maybe you'll get lucky and not go bald.

Everybody grows bald eventually, but the mothers side of family might have also been in the gene in your body that you were born with. So theres a slight chance that you might have inherited that gene. Dont worry about it now, while you still have hair, just let nature do its job! Hoped that helped, and take care!

Balding is a maternal gene. You say your mother's side is bald...Is your mother's dad bald. That will be the predictor, but it is not always the deciding factor. Good luck.

I learned in college anatomy that it was passed through the mother's side. You might be a "throwback" and be okay. But don't hold your breath.

Spironolactone or Propecia do a lot to prevent it. Spiro is great for skin, too.

You can just do what Bruce Willis did. He looks fine w/o hair.

I have heard that people usually end up with the hair of their mom's father. This seems to actually hold true most of the time from my observations, but it could just be an old wives tale I guess.
