Brazil is my favourite country in the world , I have returned there seven times .
Why : The Brazilians are extremely friendly , and I have been on long bus rides and complete strangers have insited in paying my drinks.
Their music is great:
Brazil has a very rich music tradition. The Brazilian music originates from mixing the styles of European colonists with the styles of African slaves and -to a lesser degree- the styles of the Amerindians.
Samba is the Brazilian style of music that everybody knows. It is famous throughout the world. Bossa Nova is well-known among jazz enthusiasts. Nevertheless, the Brazilian music does not get the international attention to which it is entitled. Who learns more about Brazilian music, discovers a new world of sounds, styles and rhythms varying from classical music to hiphop-like styles.
Famous Brazilian styles of music are:
Axé
Bossa Nova
Capoeira music
Choro
Música Popular Brasileira or MPB
Pagode
Samba
Tropicália
Food in Brazil is excellent and Cheap.
The potions are large .
The food is different in the various regions of Brazil>
It a fusion of my many styles.
The Brazilians blended ingredients and recipes from various continents long before Europeans and North-Americans spoke about fusion kitchen
It's a mixture of European, and African and Japanese.
In cities the kilos restaurant where the restaurants serve a buffet style food and you pay by the weight .This has replaced the American fast food places.
In the North you have the Amazon , which is the world's greatest rainforest.
Brazil has so many great beaches , they are too many to list.
Also you have many cities that are protected by UNESCO, because of the beautiful historical buildings :
Salvador, Paraty, Olinda, Sao Luis and the gold cities in Minas Gerais
Also Brazil has the greatest football team (soccer team) in the world.
Brazil has some of greatest Artists in the World and
cities like Rio are unique..
Also I'm seriously thinking to moving down there.
The problem is one that a person just cannot move there .
You need to check out requirements at the Brazilian Consulate.:

Also please note Salaries are low

I am from the USA and I have traveled to Brazil many, many times. Brazil is a very beautiful country! The people are very beautiful (men, women, children... everyone!) and the countryside is beautiful too! I don't like the crime and corruption in Rio and some of the other larger cities. However, I've never had any problems myself. Several of my Brazilian friends have had problems and are more scared of the police than the thieves! But, honestly, I just use my brain and am careful. I think that it's important to remember that Brazil is much more than Rio de Janeiro, however. Rio is just 1 city in Brazil. It's like the US. There is much more to the US than New York City and Disneyland. And, there is crime in the US too! There are many other beautiful cities and places in Brazil. Brazil is a very large country and the same physical size as the USA. Brazilians are very proud of the rich culture within Brazil. Brazilians, like everyone I suppose, enjoy having a good time. Brazilians enjoy Carnaval, Samba, the beach, soccer and good food with family and friends. These are universal "likes." But, it is obvious that Brazilians enjoy life. It would be the dream for many to live in Brazil. There are many beautiful cities. I would love to visit so much more of Brazil! It would be amazing to visit the northern part of Brazil sometime. And, the south (SC) looks very beautiful too. Really, the cities, beaches and countryside are amazing. If you live in Brazil - a great place to be from! You live in a beautiful country!!! Eu amo

Yes and no. I studied Brazil in school, so I sort of have an idea. Their economy isn't that good, and lot of people live in Favelas, which are slum communities. But if you get a decent job you can probably afford to live well in the better parts of that region. And their rich climate and fine culture makes it a nice place to live. Agriculture is very important there - People that don't own land in Brazil work for low wages. I hope you like farming!

I moved here and I love it.
It's good for some things, and poor for others. For food, and social atmosphere, and nature it is excellent.
The big cities are pretty awful, the small to medium sized ones are miles better and safer.
It is a huge country so there is a fair amount of variety.
The only thing is that it is quite far away from the US or Europe, and sometimes the infrastructure is quite basic. Also, the educational level is not high. The middle class is small.

If you don't mind a big desert, a steamy rain forest, and cities filled with millions of homeless children. I'm not a beach person and I despise hot weather, so that's no attraction to me. It has a lot of beautiful people, so I've heard. It has its good points, but overall, I'll skip it.
