Many believers in many philosophies agree--Gratitude is the luckiest thing you can do. Start listing everything wonderful in your life, and you will bring more wonderful to you.
From a purely Wiccan standpoint, I would suggest that you take up the mantra of "I am so lucky" or "How lucky am I!" and repeat it to yourself a lot about any good thing that happens, from a penny in the street to having a roof over your head. Repetition has power.
Lastly--you said "for this." Manifest what you want to happen by writing it in a sentence (in present tense) over and over, or saying it (also in present tense) over and over. Do NOT target an individual, such as if you're after a specific job or are proposing to a specific person, since that's manipulative--trust that the Universe knows what's best for you. If you're after a specific job, instead of saying "I'm so happy to be working at Acme Bricks now!" you say "I am so happy in my prosperous new job." Or instead of saying, "I'm so happy Bambi is marrying me," say "I am so happy with my perfect fiance." Like that.
The idea is that if you can subconsciously convince yourself that you already have what you wish, you will make decisions and actions on a subconscious level that are more likely to draw it to you. So there you go, philosophy, magic, and new age beliefs :-)

One thing that really does work, is Karma ( if you've seen 'my name is Earl' TV show ). Basically just start being positive and do good deeds, that is, unnormally good deeds to strangers etc, banish negative thoughts etc. Then your luck really does start to turn, it's strange but eerily true! For example I'm helping you out, and hey perhaps I might get a best answer!
Could also try 'Cosmic ordering' like Noel Edmonds (UK) did. But this is more granting wishes, no idea if it works as i still havent got a job paying £50K and a flash car!
