I'm surprised more black people do not play rock music because I've never heard a bad black rock group. They'ed put whities out of business.
Addition: oh yeah hootie, but almost no rock band stays great forever.

I wonder if you've ever heard of Jimi Hendrix or "In Living Color". Jimi Hendrix was black and was the first (or at least one of the first) modern rocker - modern rock wouldn't even exist the way it is today without guys Jimi Hendrix paving the way. Blacks can choose any genre' of music they like. Whether or not they will be successful at it is due to talent, drive, and very often "the luck of the draw".

The color of the skin of the musician has nothing to do with how much passion and love can he or she put into his/her music it doesn't matter what kind of music is; i think that the success of a band doesn't depend on how does they look depends on how can the musicians feel what they are singing; fell the music and believe in the message that they are trying to give.
by the way I love MCR, Gerard is a good example about what felling the music is.

Sure, provided they are talented as Dave Groelsh(sic). Sevendust, Living Color,Bad Brains, Kings X all rockers with a or some black musicians.

If we have black classic rock stars like Jimi Hendrix and Chuck Berry, then I don't why there can't be any modern day rock rock stars who are black.

this really is a stupid question.what in the hell does the skin color have to do with it.if white people can sell rap cds then hell yes a black person can be succesful doing rock.look at lenny kravitz.
