If you're under the effect of a blink spell and you attempt to pass through a prismatic sphere (or wall) what happens? Please include page number references.

Interesting question. The invisibility portion of blink obviously doesn't matter for this, but the ethereal does. In both the blink description and in the DMG entry on etherealness, it states that ethereal creatures are affected normally by abjurations (PH p206 DMG p293).

Prismatic Sphere and Prismatic Wall are both abjurations (p264). So the blinking character is affected just as if he were normal. Ouch! A kind DM (yeah, right) might give a knowledge arcana roll to know this ahead of time.
