Currently my 4600 has an integrated Intel eXtreme graphics card but I hope to use this card to hook it up to a Dell 2407WFP or a LG L226WT.
I would mostly use the bigger screen for work, web surfing, and watching DVDs.

The Dimension 4600 has a AGP video slot, just make sure you get an AGP 6200 and NOT a PCI-e

Yes it will work fine with the Dell 2407WFP monitor. Just make sure your power supply can support it. What else have you added to your PC? It's usually better to upgrade your power supply.
