Actually they fly better on earth than on the moon. For some reason, the flapping of their little bitty wings are so much more efficient here that they sometimes appear not to have wings.
My pigs prefer skydiving more than rooting in the ground, but it is hard to find anyone who will take them up in a plane when they want to fly.

according to pink floyd, there have been many spottings of pink pigs flying and soaring in the upper stratosphere of the dark side of the moon, particularly over the mapped region called moon: soldier field, chicago concert section.

Depends.
A slingshot works well in both places, but if you use a cannon on the moon you'll have trouble lighting the fuse.
