I am no Reds fan, but I remember when Rose, Bench, and Morgan played. If Rose had NOT bet on baseball, he would be up there on my list of admired players.

I also admired Dave Concepcion because he always played on a team full of superstars but still contributed with the bat even though he wasn't expected to and eas one of the top defensive shortstops of his era, reinventing the way shortstop was played on Astroturf. You could also always tell he was having fun while he was playing.

I always admired Pete Rose. He's such an outstanding citizen. I especially liked when he broke that catcher's leg and ended his career in a meaningless game. His post-player career.....well..... I think that speaks for itself. Way to go Cinci..... you produced a real class act.

I'm not 25, but I'm at least 25. Does that count? :)

Ron Oester was always my favorite.
