I always watch House MD.
But when, in Holland, the best episode came, I wasn't there to see it.....on a holliday
It was the one in which when tell / show what happend to House.
( the reasson why he has to walk with a cane.)
Does anybody know the title of that episode ??.
If so, please do tell.
I wanna get me a copy of that one.

Buy Season One and watch episode eight "Three Stories" . That is the episode you are looking for.
The answer to why he walks with a cane is because part of his leg has been amputated and it has left him with a limp.
To those who think it was the enfaction I tell them to listen to the summary of that episode where House tells the medical student both why he walks with a can and why he is in constant pain, neither has anything to do with the enfarction, both have something to do with the treatment he received for the enfarction.
The amputation left him with the limp, and the choice not to cut off the whole leg left him with the pain.
I guarantee this answer is correct. I have only answered it a hundred times or so and i have watch that episode over and over again to be specific.

"Three stories" from season one, he's telling a classroom about three big cases from his past, and in each story we see 'flashbacks' acting out the story, and Carmen Electra is featured in all of them until a student points that out then he recasts the flashbacks with the appropriate characters.
He had a clot in his thigh, and to prevent the clot from going to his brain and killing him they had to remove a large chunk of thigh muscle, in several episodes he's dropped trou to show off the wound. He rejected that option, but his GF at the time, Stacy the Lawyer, over-ruled his choice and told the Drs. to do it anyway after he was KO'd. He had opted for a smaller scale surgery with lower odds of success. Cutty sided with Stacy and now she feels guilty about House's current state.

In that episode house is teaching a med student class on diagnostic medicine. he tells three stories to get the students reactions. one of the stories is about him. that story also explains why he pops pain killers and walks with a permanent limp.

He had an accident and he had to have it amputated and choose not too even though his girlfriend insisted. He also is addicted to vicadine and chooses to have pain. It is also and excuse for him to be cranky and well his personality.
I do not know the name of the episode that showed this but that is the reason why he walks with a cane.

Don't recall the episode title, but he had a blood clot and had a portion of his thigh muscle die from blood starvation - so he had that portion removed.

he had an infarction in his leg and his wife had the muscle taken out to prevent it from getting worse. it's in season one and it's called "Three Stories", but he does talk about it in other episodes.
