Is it as the Captain of my soul or Predestined we go? Or perhaps there is another path that blends freewill and fate. Is it not obvious? Choices are before me, and I chouse. Of my own freewill I pick and chouse, right? Well let us consider that I am sitting in a chair. What are my choices? I can sit as I am, or get up. As far as sitting is concerned this is the only choices before me. Setting, for a while my being is in equilibrium. I rest in my relaxation, I read, and then things change, I thirst. Is it of my freewill that I go to quench this desire, or does the necessity force me to seek relief? Well at first by my will I can ignore my need, but if life is to continue I am forced to act. Now my set of choices has change. Before it was only if I remain sitting or stand. Now sitting is no longer an option and the choices go to how best I may relive my distress. From that which is before me, I chouse what seems the best choice I can make. Determinacy? Free Will? If the choices provided are not of our chousing, is the choice between them free?

Yes and no. We have been given the freedom to choose what we want to do, but God has planned all of the events that have happened, are happening now, and will happen in everyone's lives. I'm not saying that He likes it when people are hurt physically, emotionally, spiritually, or mentally. The reason that He allows these things to happen is to bring something good out of the tragedy.

We are only free so long as our freedom does not impinge on the freedom of others. For example if we were to walk on the street in the nude, what about children who we wouldn't want to see this sight. Or would we be free to let our dogs be free to attack others or roam the street. Freedom is relative.

If we were completely 100% free our molecules would be flying everywhere, we wouldn't be held together. Total "freedom" isn't exactly a good thing. There are units in the human body called "free radicals" that disrupt your body's natural order and makes you age faster.

You are free to choose to seek the knowledge needed to make an informed choice.
Or you can choose to remain ignorant.
That's freedom of choice.

You have to have a great spirit, strong will, and a big open mind to be free. Freedom is within us, not out of us. If you trying to be free out of yourself then i can swear to you if you want you will never be,

free will is the partial derivative of reality with respect to consciousness. the small zing in the system that causes chaos. not completely free, yet not completely enslaved. in fact, neither of the two... just going in some direction, or another.

No our choices are always thrown upon us and we are forced to choose one way or the other. That doesn't eaxctly feel like freedom to me.
