I am currently trying to get my license back and went to court for driving a four-wheeler without a license. I have currently paid all the fines associated with past instances and feel that the judge is trying to throw anything he can at me so that I cannot get my license. I had to fly in from Colorado to appear for the four-wheeler incident and then was charged with a failure to appear in court from 1999, even though I had been in court several times in the past several years. The judge wouldn't let me leave TN until I paid a $500 fine.

No statute...when you failed to appear the judge issued a bench warrant, which doesn't expire until you're brought before that court and answer the charges...pay the fine and see if you can work something out with the DA.
