the trailer could weigh up to 700 lbs when it is full of my stuff.I would only be using it every once and a while.

Check the owner's manual. It depends on the weight of the trailer and the type of transmission your car has.

that is easy. NO, Nyet, non, nein. it is simply a bad idea. my sister has one, when you have two people in the rear with a combined weight on less than 300 pounds, the car already bottoms out ( the car has perfect suspension). Now if you put 700 pounds in the very rear of the car, how much is it going to sag?
Trade in for a pick-up.

I don't think it's a wise idea. Unless the trailer is meant to haul cars too. It may not be capable to hold a car.

its hard on transmissions // not saying hasnt been done but// thats why they make pickups
