The Soviets made all the largest hydrogen bombs. They went for size while the US and other countries went for quantity.
pistolavirus above mentioned a 50-megaton. I remember the Soviets working on a 150-megaton (we called it the "doomsday" bomb becuse if it were to be completed and functional it would be capable of taking out 50% of North America and causing fires on all coasts simultaneously. I don't remember it ever being completed, and soon after the Soviets began dismantling everything.

However weapons of such power are useless in a war.
