oh my goodness. Well first of all, if you can makes straight A's right now and is able to manage time pretty good, then i'd say yes. But if you're at a B, or C or lower level, you will absolutely have no life as long as you care about school. if you don't care, then it's just good to drop out or fail. I'm in the IB program and i'm a junior, and i haven't had time for anything. I guess it also depends on where you go to school and who your teachers are. And if you want to drive to school, then you'll probably get a job, and work for gas money, which already takes hours out of your week. Then you have homework, studying, and any outside reading books that are to be done in one or more of your classes. i wish i didn't do the IB program, and i'm not allowed to quit, and the only way i can get out of it is to fail my classes, which i'm absolutely not doing cause that's just dumb. But just get ready for hard work and no sleep and tons of studying. Remeber you have the SATs to do(i just took one today..boy it was soooo dreadful) and your junior year is the most important year of all your high school. I already think i screwed up in life because of the IB program. But you sound like a bright student, so i guess you'll be fine. But if you're friends are also joining it, it's possible that you'll just be stressed out and not feel like going out with your friends, and it might just be like ".........." the whole day. Well, in the end, i guess it's worth it. Hope you make a good choice! And if you do get in the IB program, i wish you luck!

I'm in IB1 (11th grade I think) and it is a LOT of work. Expect to be stressed out and to have a lot of homework to do. I do go out on Fridays and Saturdays usually but I tend to procrastinate quite a lot. My grades are mediocre but I do think I'll need to step it up a notch if I want to get through next year. If I had a choice I probably wouldn't do IB but because I'm in an international school it's my only choice. If I had done A Levels or Highers like all my friends back home in my old school I think I'd be getting pretty good grades. If you're getting very good grades in whatever system you're in now then you could probably do it but if you're not you will need to work very hard indeed. If you're willing to work then go for it but if your main priority is hanging out with your mates then I'd strongly recommend a different system.

Hope this helped.

no you cannot have a life...does the university accept IB credits and does the major you have chosen accept IB credits??? My daughter did very well in her IB classes and on the exams and the major she choose at a university did not accept IB credits.
