Different things work for different people. So, I will give you a couple of suggestions.
For example. My oldest uses proactive. It works well for him. We were amazed at the results. Especially the mask, it does a fabulous job, if he doesn't use the mask every few days it doesn't work quite as well but the mask coupled with the rest of the system has left his skin looking great.
Our second son however didn't respons to the Proactive. He does with the Biorre line you can get from Target, CVS, ETC. He uses the foaming face wash, Heated Mask, Topical cream, etc. The foaming face wash really helped.
I have always used Clinique (tried Mary Kay, Lancome, Origins) it works really well for me and the Acne Spot treatment is great for cysts. They have a great mask, cleanser as well. Our sons really didn't want to use it because they consider it girly even though there are products for guys. The people at the counter can help you. It made all the difference for me I have used Clinique since I was a teenager, I've tried other things, but Cliniqe is what I come back to. They have a great oil free foundation as well, which doesn't clog your pours. My dermotologist recommended it when I was in junior high, pretty soon I didn't need to go to the dermatologist for the dry ice treatments.
If nothing has worked there are many prescriptions available. See a dermatologist. It is the only thing that worked for my brother in law who continues to break out. It really helped him.
I'm sorry that people make fun of you. That is not fair, acne is a medical condition. Please don't let it effect your self esteem because of ignorant people.

Drink tons of water, exercise, and eat healthy. You might also want to try a product like Proactiv or AcneFree. For one big pimple, crush up an aspirin and mix it with water. It's a really strong version of benzoil peroxide...they have the same properties. It will make the swelling go down. But nothing, aside from injections from a dermatologist, will make a pimple go away immediately.

Ok, I had AWEFUL acne about a year ago. I went to a dermatologist. She prescribed some medications for me (a genaric cleanser, 2 prescription creams, and one pill). That seems like a lot of stuff but it really has helped my skin.
Now I have just a few spots, but I highly recommend getting professional help early, or else you will have scars (there not pretty at all). Make sure you stick to the doctor's recommendations or it won't work. And remember, it usually takes 6-8 weeks to get really good results, but you will start seeing small differences before that.
*wishes you best of luck*

The best way to get rid of them is to #1, don't pick at them!! Any break in the integrity of your skin is an open door for new bacteria. So keep those hands off your face. Try steaming your face, it will take a couple of weeks, but it will help flush out the toxins & bacteria in the skin. Try products with peroxide, and eat lots of fruits & veggies, & drink lots of water. Never, tan or workout with make-up on, & always wash off make-up before bed. If you can avoid it, wearing no skin make-up is best. And the golden rule, unless its got a whitehead on it, don't pop it.

Try Neutrogena Acne scrub it works really well for me. I also am using a topical gel for my face called Duac that my dermatologist recomended. If you are struggling with pimples go to get your face checked out because these over the counter products don't always work.

well I wash my face 2 times a day everyday. The doc. told me when I was younger that the best pimple preventer was washing your face with bar soap. I have done it for the past 2 years and my skin never breaks out....another thing is alot of people get pimples from stress, so if you can dont get stressed out about stuff.....good luck

okay...
1.] don't ever use toothpaste [they leave scars]
2.] i'd reccomend nothing, because if you use acne cream too much and suddenly stop more pimples are going to form.
3.] i'd reccommend Proactiv, because it seem's to be the best brand people reccommend. =]
Proactiv solution is pretty expensive.

I had the same problem. The only thing that has ever worked for me is tea tree oil. It can be drying, but it totally works. Try it for yourself. Just give it a few days to start working. It has stopped my break-outs for almost 2 years.
I buy it at:
