This is a tough one.... But I have to got with MJ's fade away...because MJ was a better scorer then Kareem & MJ scored alot with that fade away. I know some of you guys going to be like, how is MJ the better scorer & Kareem is the all-time scoring leader? Well let me explain before you open your mouths. MJ holds the record most scoring titles held, 10 titles, MJ holds the record for the highest scoring avg. in finals history(1993 finals, 41.0 ppg), MJ's career avg. is 31.5 & Kareem's is 28.8, MJ holds the record for the all-time playoff high, 63 points(1986 against Boston ), MJ has the most total points in all-star games, MJ has a higher season high, 69 points, and alot other scoring records(I could go on forever)......And everyone knows that if MJ would played 20 years straight like Kareem did, MJ would of shattered that all time scoring record. MJ played 15 on & off seasons to Kareem's 20 straight seasons, & 2 of MJ seasons he only played 17 & 18 games(1995, 17 - 1986, 18 ).

Great question, however, your reasoning is a little off. It looks like you know your stuff about MJ, but does the said stats prove that the fade-away was better than the sky hook? This question will only get opinions and no true answer. So... with that being said, my opinion is that the sky hook is a more unstoppable shot when utilized by Kareem. We've all seen other players attempt it, but none with the ability and accuracy of Kareem. Also, the sky-hook is a higher percentage shot because it was closer to the rim and Kareem got fouled a lot attempting this shot. There is no stopping a 7'2" guy with an insane wing span from making this shot(55.9 FG% career). Now I will say that MJ shoots one of the best fade-aways and is the best basketball player to ever play the game but the fade-away wasn't what made MJ the best player.

* Plus Kareem knows karate! Who wants a roundhouse kick to the face from those shorts.

MJ didn't use the fade away until his second run with the bulls. As he got a little older and wiser he realized how valuable of a weapon it could be. However I think Kareem's hook was more valuable to him as a player and harder to stop. Also that was Kareem's move his entire career, so theoretically he had more points with the hook than MJ with the fade away.

However MJ is the best ever!

Kareem scored way more points on his sky hook than MJ scored with his fade away. That fade away came later in MJ's career when he didn't have the legs to go to the hoop constantly.

The sky hook become the most unstoppable shot contained in the heritage of the NBA. Dirk would not hit his shot at a larger share then Kareem hit the sky hook.. if Kareem were given position, exceptionally a lot the in user-friendly words thanks to end the shot become to deny him the ball. Dirk has difficulty in case you position a speedier, aggressive defender in his face.. he isn't any longer delicate capturing then, and he would not want to placed the ball on the floor and force. Bruce Bowen brought about Dirk suits on extra then one party.

Your question was who move was more unstoppable. Have you ever watch Kareem b/c that is a no brainer....The Sky Hook Man!!!!!!!!!! Jordan was hell on wheels but his fade away was blockable.....but you had to wish that Kareem missed that hook........you couldn't even get your finger tips on that hook.... watch some classic buddy then you'll see your answer

Kareem was unstoppable. The sky hook was way up in the sky. When you had a chance to stop it it was on the way down - goaltending!

C'mon jd.....you're choosing a 6'5" guards "fade-away" over a 7'2" center with an extended arm shot?

KAREEM SKY HOOK WAS MORE UNSTOPPABLE. YOU NEED TO WATCH MORE NBA GAMES ON CLASSIC SPORTS.

THAT IF WORD (IF I/YOU WOULDA, COULDA AND SHOUDA) MEANS NOTHING.
