Has any team ever played at their stadium? for the super bowl? I hope that made sense!!

"No NFL team has yet played the Super Bowl on its own home lawn. However, Super Bowl XIV (which involved then Los Angeles Rams) was played in the Rose Bowl in near Pasadena; and Super Bowl XIX (which involved the San Francisco 49ers) was played at the Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto."

the answer is no. but it could happend, imagine is not the colts going to the super bowl, and is the dolphins vs. the bears. The NFL always look to play the SB in a sunny or hot place or in a stadium have roof.

I just had to answer this after reading the answers to far.
No, as many have said.
RCA Dome??? Next year it will be torn down as the Colts move into the 'Lucas Oil Stadium'. (Nice name huh).
Never in Green Bay though--too cold.

The actual answer is NO. The closest this has come to happening was for Miami in the early 90's. Miami I believe lost in the AFC Championship game.
Had they won they would have played in Miami for the title.
