well there could be a host of new problems that will ocur in the world in the next 50 years due to pollution. First of all the average temp of the world is heating up. Secondly we will hit pop limit for the earth in 2020 which will cause mass starvation due to increase temp and crop deterioration. The heating of the world will cause disasters tha we can only imagine. And when we run out of food there will be wars, however by having wars we will decrease the amount of the pop on the earth. Oxygen production could shift too due to the destruction of all the rainforests which is not where we get most of our o2 but a considerable amount. There was a movie that came out a few years ago that showed what will hapen but I think the movie is greatly exagerated on the time scale. We are all living on borrowed time so get outside and enjoy it while you still can.

If you look back in Time magazine in the 70's which is less than 40 years ago you will see they had a cover issue warning of global cooling. All the scientists then were warning of bad things coming from the so called global cooling. So I would guess that in 50 years we will be back to global cooling.

In the next 50 years, Global Warming will causes the beaches to die away and take away winter for good. Summers will be hotter(breaking records) than what they really are and winter, well if there is will be much warmer than what they are now.
