Basic science is both fun and interesting. The problem is that when we go to extremes and push all the boundaries, things start to get a little complex.

The boredom factor mostly comes from poor teaching of it. There's lot of people who are good at science but poor at the art of teaching.

It doesn't have to be all boring bookwork and calculations. The root of science is experimentation and if you have imagination then it can be a lot of fun.

Check out the show 'Mythbusters' if you think science can't be fun.

It may be hard, but I never find it boring. You have to pay your dues, just like anything else. I would be hard pressed to pass a basic chemistry test right now, but I do biology, as I payed my chemistry dues. Anything worth having is worth working for. You can always go into social science. You do know, though, that the mean IQ difference between social scientists and scientists is as much as one standard deviation. It helps to have a few intellectual advantages to do science, though bio tech is always looking for technicians.

I liked science until I got to chemistry.Which was boring and I didn't understand it at all.I stink at math though.I always loved science because I'm a curious person. But in chemistry nothing was explained. The numbers were meaningless and didn't teach me anything about what I wanted to know.

Because math is difficult for a lot of people, and you have to take a lot of math to understand and express your self in science. Even social sciences at the graduate level require math.
