No because they shower in warm fresh water after a total submerge. Four adult Minke whales were observed in my neighbours little boys paddling pool rubbing flax seed oil into their coats so perhaps this is the answer

These are salt water fish and mammals . It will take more than salt to ruin them. If that is happening it must be the toxins in the salt water.
