Can one person really make a difference? Yes. How else does change begin?
An army of 50,000 is made up of 50,000 individuals.
You don't have to be an activist to cause change. It's the little things that matter most.
Only use as much electricity as you need. Only use as much water as you need.
Recycle, because where does your waste go if you don't?
Forgive yourself.
Listen to your instincts. Don't support something you know you are against but feel you must bend to just because everyone else is doing it. It's not a good enough reason.
Regularly put yourself in someone else's shoes. Also take time to imagine what it would be like to be a bird, a dog, a tree. There are more perspectives on the universe than just the human perspective.
The best thing you can do to make the world a better place is love yourself. Then everything else will fall naturally into place.

We can all make a difference, each one of us. The easiest way is not to try to think of how we can change the world, but to change the part of the world where we have the most influence—ourselves, our own lives. Is there something you do, that you know you should stop doing? Then stop it. Is there something you ought to start doing, that you have been putting off? Then get started.
To use a fairly obvious example, “Let him who has been stealing steal no more, but rather work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.” (Ephesians, 4:28)
And,
“How can you say to your brother ‘Let me take that speck of sawdust out of your eye’…? …first, take the log out of your own eye and then you will be able to see clearly to take the speck of sawdust out of your brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:4,5
Start with the simplest, littlest, most seemingly-insignificant thing you know you ought to be doing.

you can only make your own world a better place for you. Humans are very short lived and represent a small drop in the ocean when compared to the life of our earth. So, don't worry about earth which is more than 4billions years old, you should worry about your own life and enjoy it before you go.

Perhaps the best approach is through the betterment of ourselves. Education will always be the answer. It may not solve every problem, but continues to be a step in the right direction.

listen to me. And I will be able to tell you the truth. The truth is I am the son of man. But it seems that All these liars that say they have been waiting for me are all daft in the way of finding me. Did I not say that you would find me amidst the least? Now all of us who are the least AND my very own students shall give you a most unnatural tragedy in 2009. I have warned you 2 years ahead, children. And you will know in those days that I am the lord, who will destroy you. Since you have given up hope, and you only know how to type slick sounding answers, I will give you blood. Plenty of it. If you still want to really learn how to be saved, Email me. The Jews disbelieved until the end. Then they killed me. Then they believed once I was gone. Do you think I will give you pigs the same opportunity to kill me again? You must be stupid

Obey the 10 commandments! Love is the answer. God is love, therefore we must trust in Him, know that He loves us unconditionally and then we can begin to know how to love our neighbor as ourselves. Most people don't believe in love anymore because they don't know God--they rely on human love that is conditional. 1John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. Remember, you can't change the world, but you can change people. And don't forget to pray! pray! pray!

Once a person complained about another person who didn't believe in war.
The person asked, "What if everybody felt as you do and refused to go to war?"
The other one replied, "Yeah, what IF everybody felt that way...?
LONG PAUSE
The first person said, "Oh, yeah!"
